Cagrilintide · 10mg
Weekly amylin analog · satiety by another route · the other half of CagriSema, under FDA review
- Metabolic
Phase 3 complete · under review in United States since Dec 2025
The approval application has been filed and is under review in United States (CagriSema (con semaglutida)). Novo Nordisk developed cagrilintide to be used with semaglutide (CagriSema). In REDEFINE 1 (3,417 adults, 68 weeks) the combination reached 22.7% weight loss and cagrilintide alone 11.8%, versus 2.3% on placebo (all participants: 20.4%, 11.5% and 3.0%). In type 2 diabetes (REDEFINE 2) the combination lost 13.7%. Against tirzepatide (REDEFINE 4, February 2026) it lost 20.2% vs 23.6% and did not reach non-inferiority; the application remains under review and Novo Nordisk guides to a decision in late 2026. Cagrilintide alone entered its own phase 3 programme (RENEW) in late 2025, with no results yet. The FDA application was filed on December 18, 2025. Next step: the FDA's decision.
