Technical description.
KPV is a tripeptide (Lys-Pro-Val), the C-terminal fragment of the α-MSH hormone. Its distinctive trait: it brakes the NF-κB inflammatory pathway, and no effect on pigment or appetite has been described in the models studied. It has been investigated in models of colitis, dermatitis and arthritis.
SuperBio Labs KPV is supplied as lyophilized powder ≥99% pure, verified by HPLC and sequence-confirmed by LC-MS. Each batch ships with a third-party Certificate of Analysis covering identity, purity, peptide content, and endotoxin levels.
KPV has been characterized for its NF-κB inhibition and for entering cells through the PepT1 transporter, which is upregulated in the inflamed colon. Given orally it reduced colitis in mice (Gastroenterology, 2008), and newer formats —hyaluronic-acid nanoparticles (2017) and a prodrug released at inflamed sites (Science Advances, 2026)— delivered more peptide to the colon at lower doses. In skin it protected human keratinocytes from pollution damage (2025) and showed antimicrobial activity in vitro. All evidence is preclinical: there are no published human trials and no approval as a medicine in any country.

Honest side effects.
Preclinical evidence only. KPV is the C-terminal end of α-MSH (three amino acids) and has no published clinical trials.
No documented side effects because it has not been studied in people, and that is not the same as safe. Unlike full α-MSH, in the models studied it does not act on skin pigment. Pregnancy and breastfeeding: no data.
